The Marcory commune in Abidjan, Ivory Coast has been in the dark with no power supply for three nights in the row.

As the President Alassane Ouattara intervened to reconnect power supply to 15 villages in Didievi Department, the Marcory neighbourhoods of Abidjan are forced to endure the heat and the increasing crime threat.

While other grid branches are reconnecting their consumers to power supply, the transformers in Abidjan remain shut down.

Following these events, the Marcory residents cannot accept that transformer shut down can last for so long in such large city and hope that the authorities will soon be made aware of the crisis.
