OAO Lenenergo completed the modernisation and began commissioning works on 110/35/10 kV substation Number 365 – Luppolovo in the Leningrad region village, Russia. The modernisation will greatly improve reliability of electricity supply and connection to the electric networks for new consumers in Vsevolozhsk area.

The Luppolovo substation was built in 1982 and the equipment was out of date. Due to power deficit, new consumers could not be connected to power supply.

OAO Lenenergo almost completely replaced all the equipment, including new substation transformers which increased the total capacity of the facility four times – up to 80 MVA.

In addition, the substation was equipped with two indoor switchgears – 10 kV and 35 kV, the substation control building was reconstructed and new communication system fitted in. Lenenergo invested 450 million rubles in the reconstruction project.

The Luppolovo substation produces electricity for Leningrad Region, including Sertolovo and large villages Luppolovo and Yukki. Modernisation of the substation will enhance the reliability of power supply to consumers and will provide a basis for the distribution network development in the Leningrad region.
