Power loss after transformer explosion in Tyngsboro

USA, Tyngsboro:  A fire and power cuts were caused by a transformer explosion on Middlesex Road according to the report of the Tyngsboro police.

The explosion which happened at about 1:55 p.m. caused a fire in the vicinity of the railroad tracks south of the Tyngsboro Bridge.

The spot fire near 141 Middlesex Road was quenched by an emergency unit that were sent to the scene.

Police said they expected that the fire would cause “significant power outages”, but an hour later the power was back on in the area.
