Endesa invests € 1.4 million in Santa Catalina transformer substation

The utility company Endesa has completed the renovation of Santa Catalina electrical substation. The reconstruction development lasted for several months and the investment amounted to € 1.4 million.

The utility company Endesa has completed the renovation of  Santa Catalina electrical substation, Spain. The reconstruction development lasted for several months and the investment amounted to € 1.4 million.

The works have been focused on technological improvements and renewing of the substation transformer protection. For example, 21 newly installed cabins are now protected by double wall.

According to Endesa company statement, the quality of power supply to 31,000 consumers in Palma  has been greatly improved.

Santa Catalina electrical substation also includes Portopí, Jaume III Avenue and other promenade areas in the catchment area of the facility.

At present, the Endesa investments are  also reflected in the Fortí area as the company is building a new substation near the north side of the old Lluís Sitjar stadium. The construction of the substation began in October 2013 and Endesa plans to complete it next summer.
