Power Machines-Toshiba to supply transformers for largest European HPP

Russia, Moscow: Power Machines – Toshiba High Voltage Transformers (PMTT), joint venture of Power Machines and Toshiba Corporation, will manufacture and supply power transformers for the overhaul of RusHydro’s Volzhskaya HPP, the largest hydropower plant in Europe.

 


Russia, Moscow: Power Machines – Toshiba High Voltage Transformers (PMTT), joint venture of Power Machines and Toshiba Corporation, will manufacture and supply power transformers for the overhaul of RusHydro’s Volzhskaya HPP, the largest hydropower plant in Europe.

According to the agreement, PMTT will manufacture and deliver four single-phase 500 kV autotransformers with a capacity of 267 MVA each. PMTT’s staff will also supervise the installation of the equipment at the power plant site, states Power Machines in the press release. 

The transformers will be delivered to the Volzhskaya HPP by mid 2016.

PMTT’s transformer delivery is a continuation of the comprehensive equipment overhaul project at Volzhskaya HPP implemented by Power Machines.
