Lenenergo investing $4M into Romanovka substation upgrade

Russia, Leningrad Oblast: Lenenergo, Russian electric power company, has begun an upgrade of its 35 kV Romanovka substation in Vsevolozhsky district in the Leningrad region.

 


Russia, Leningrad Oblast: Lenenergo, Russian electric power company, has begun an upgrade of its 35 kV Romanovka substation in Vsevolozhsky district in the Leningrad region.

The project costing $4 million includes installation of two new power transformers which will increase the substation capacity from the current 20 MVA to 32 MVA, reports RusCable.

The upgrade of the substation, which was built originally in 1960, is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.  

The substation supplies electricity to the population of over 8,000 people and also to the Baltic pipeline system.
