OAO FSK YEES completed basic upgrade of the main 220 kV supply station Khabarovsk and increased power output to 376 MVA.
The upgrade greatly increased the reliability of electricity supply in Khabarovsk with a total population of over 600,000 people as well as enabled the connection of new consumers taking into account the rapid economic development of the Far East.
“Reconstruction was carried out in 2008 on the existing substation. It has been fully updated with all major substation equipment to date. The substation now has an improved automated information system for electricity measurement and an automated process control system. Substation can now be managed by one electrician per shift.
As part of the basic reconstruction of the 220 kV substation, a new outdoor switchgear has been installed as well as new 110 and 220 kV lines. Modern current and voltage transformers, gas-insulated switches, circuit breakers and surge arresters have also been installed.
A 125 MVA autotransformer has been put into operation and the 40 MVA transformer has been replaced by the 63 MVA transformer.
