$10 million upgrade of west Moscow substation underway

Russia, Moscow: MOESK is investing over $10 million into an upgrade of its 110 kV Lomonosovo substation located in the western part of Moscow.

 


Russia, Moscow: MOESK is investing over $10 million into an upgrade of its 110 kV Lomonosovo substation located in the western part of Moscow.

As part of the project, MOESK will be replacing the current 63 MVA power transformer with a new transformer of the capacity of 80 MVA, reports EnergyLand.

Replacement of the second substation transformer is also planned in the near future, so upon completion of all works the substation power supply will increase by a third.

Lomonosovo substation underwent one renovation in 2003, while this one was launched in 2008 and will last until 2018.
