Northern Moscow substation powers up with new transformer

Russia, Moscow: In the north of Moscow, MOESK (Moscow United Electric Grid Company) has completed yet another stage in the reconstruction of the 110/10/6 kV Koptevo.

 


Russia, Moscow: In the north of Moscow, MOESK (Moscow United Electric Grid Company) has completed yet another stage in the reconstruction of the 110/10/6 kV Koptevo.

As part of the reconstruction, the transformer T-4 with a capacity of 40.5 MVA has been moved to a new location and put into operation, reports EnergyLand.

In its place, a new transformer of the capacity of 63 MVA will be installed, thus improving the capacity and reliability of the power supply to the consumers in the Northern Administrative District of Moscow.

The company is also installing a new indoor switchgear 10 kV and constructing a 10 kV cable tunnel.

Completion of the entire reconstruction of the facility is planned for 2019.
