Pluggable system presented for building compact transformers
Germany, Winterbach: Pfisterer, German provider of cable systems and pluggable connections, has recently exhibited its pluggable Connex system – a connection solution for the construction of compact power transformers.
Germany, Winterbach: Pfisterer, German provider of cable systems and pluggable connections, has recently exhibited its pluggable Connex system – a connection solution for the construction of compact power transformers.
The system originally designed for cable connections for voltages between 12 kV and 500 kV has been developed into a connection system for transformers with ultra-compact medium-voltage connections and solid-insulated surge arresters for high-voltage applications.
The system enables installation of transformers on much smaller areas as well as inside buildings to save space.
Their pluggable high- and medium-voltage connecting elements allow quick and easy replacement of transformers and flexible use in changing network infrastructures, according to the manufacturer.
