Ryazan Plant, Russia started producing cable fittings as part of energy-saving power transformers manufacturing, head of the region told Ria Novosti.

“According to our plans, the plant will produce over a hundred units per month. Investments in the production amounted to 50 million rubles,” said the plant representative.

He added that the plant will begin production of transformers that can withstand strong external temperature changes. “We will invest additional 80 million rubles in this new development,” the press officer stated.

The Ryazan Plant started up the production of cable fittings last year as a member of the “Transformer” group specialising in transformers and substations.

“Energy-efficient transformers will be of high demand because of the need to maximise the efficient use of electricity. We have given special attention to this direction,” said the Ryazan Governor, Oleg Kovalev.
