Siemens to deliver phase shifting transformers to California
Germany: Siemens has received an order to supply two phase-shifting transformers to California from the local supplier of energy to the Imperial Valley area in Southern California.
Germany: Siemens has received an order to supply two phase-shifting transformers to California from the local supplier of energy to the Imperial Valley area in Southern California.
The manufacturer will supply two phase-shifting transformers with a dual-tank design and install and commission them on-site, according to the press release.
The phase-shifting transformers will be used to optimally control the power flow in the transmission system from Imperial Valley substation to La Rosita substation.
Delivery is scheduled for late 2016.
