United Kingdom, Leicestershire: BRUSH has completed a $7.1 million (£5 million) investment in its UK production hub to allow it to manufacture large 132 kV transformers.

As part of the investment, the company has installed new manufacturing capacity of 5,100 MVA at its Loughborough site, with the potential for this to be increased to 6,900 MVA in the future, the company states in the press release.

“There is increasing demand for large transformers from a range of industries ranging from energy to transport. With this development customers can for the first time access 132 kV BRUSH transformers manufactured and delivered in the UK,” said Simon Thomas, managing director for transformers at BRUSH.
