Siemens wins $185M order for Denmark-Holland HVDC link
Siemens has been awarded a $185 million (€170 million) order to supply an HVDC link between the Dutch and Danish power grids from the power grid service provider Danish Energinet.dk and its Dutch counterpart TenneT TSO, according to the company press release.

The scope of the order covers the supply of two 700 MW converter stations for a DC voltage of ±320 kV, one at Eemhaven in Holland, the other in Endrup in Denmark, along with the system design and the supply, installation and commissioning of all components, including power transformers.
The two converter stations will be linked by a 325 kilometer-long DC power cable.
The link, which has been designated as one of the European Commission’s projects of common interest, is scheduled to take up commercial operation at the beginning of 2019.
