ERDF invested € 3 million in the transformer modernisation at Persan substation, France, which is crucial for electricity supply to 25 communes.

New and improved transformer station meets the highest environmental standards.

The elected representatives of 25 communes  were invited to tour the Persan transformer station located in Rue de Londres.

The € 3 million ERDF investment  in new transformer is to improve power supply to all the communes in the catchment area but specifically to Haut Val- d’Oise.

“We made this investment due to population growth, increasing power demand  and to enable the possibility of new industries developing around the towns in the area,” said Regional Erdf Manager.

This new transformer reaches a power of 70 MW (instead of 40 MW) and can supply power to 70 000 consumers. It took a year to complete the upgrade.
