L&T wins $150M T&D orders

India, Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro Power Transmission & Distribution Business has bagged new orders worth nearly $150 million in the domestic and international markets.

Among the orders is a contract awarded by Sarawak Energy in East Malaysia for the erection of Samalaju-2 275/132/33 kV GIS substation, which will supply power to industrial projects and factories under development in the Samalaju SCORE area, the company said in a statement.

The substation, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, will be the largest GIS substation to be commissioned in South East Asia, with 43 bays.

The project should be commissioned in 15 months.
