Transformer fire left over 14,000 homes in Dublin without power

Ireland, Dublin: At least 14,000 homes in West Dublin suffered power cuts on Sunday evening as a result of a transformer fire in a 220 kV ESB substation in Inchicore.

 


Ireland, Dublin: At least 14,000 homes in West Dublin suffered power cuts on Sunday evening as a result of a transformer fire in a 220 kV ESB substation in Inchicore.

The utility said the fire was a result of a transformer fault, causing outages in Lucan, Tallaght and Inchicore districts, reports RTE News.

Nobody has been injured in the blaze and by now power has been restored to all households.
