USA, Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania Power & Light (PPL) Electric Utilities completed the Northeast-Pocono Reliability Project, a $350 million investment in new substations and power lines made to boost regional reliability.

The work included three new substations, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, built in North Pocono, West Pocono and Paupack, along with 32 kilometres of new 230 kV power lines, and other improvements, as earlier reported by Transformers Magazine.

Originally projected for completion in late 2017, the work was done more than a year early, reports T&D World.
