BGE to invest $4B over next five years in power system upgrades

USA, Maryland: Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) will invest $4 billion during the next five years in the power system upgrades and expansions in order to ensure fewer power outages and faster restoration of power when outages occur.

 


USA, Maryland: Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) will invest $4 billion during the next five years in the power system upgrades and expansions in order to ensure fewer power outages and faster restoration of power when outages occur.

Preparing for summer heat and potentially severe storms, the company has recently invested more than $8 million in critical distribution projects and new technologies as well as in the installation of a new substation and feeder, the company said in a statement.

This work is part of the approximately $500 million invested each year in the company’s systems.
