Transformer fire forces evacuation of 5,000 people in LA

USA, California: After a truck hit a power pole on Mulholland Highway in Calabasas, Los Angeles, causing it to fall and a transformer to explode, the transformer ignited the fire that forced at least 5,000 people to evacuate their homes.

About 400 firefighters responded to the incident, and three were injured, reports CNN.

The blaze destroyed one large building, damaged two homes and scorched at least 500 acres of land.
