$638M deals signed for expansion of electricity distribution grid

Oman, Muscat: Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) has signed agreements worth $638 million for the development and expansion of the sultanate's electricity distribution grid.

 


Oman, Muscat: Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) has signed agreements worth $638 million for the development and expansion of the sultanate’s electricity distribution grid.

A great number of the signed deals relate to electricity transmission projects from Ibri and Sohar power stations, which are expected to be operational by 2018 and 2019 respectively, reports Trade Arabia.

The other deals cover projects aimed to meet the growing electricity demand in various regions of the Sultanate.
