Inferior power transformers cause irregular power supply
Nepal, Mugu: Inferior quality and low capacity power transformers are causing irregular power supply to the Mugu district headquarters Gamgadhi and other areas. The transformers were installed by the Gamgadh power distribution centre.

Nepal, Mugu: Inferior quality and low capacity power transformers are causing irregular power supply to the Mugu district headquarters Gamgadhi and other areas. The transformers were installed by the Gamgadh power distribution centre.
Although the Gamgadh Hydropower Project produces only 300 kw of its 400 kw capacity, Dhananjaya Fadera staff claims that the irregular power supply was caused by the customers using high-power electric equipments during the winter. The staff added that they have been trying to persuade the Nepal Electrical Authority to approve high-power transformers but have not been successful yet.
The usage of inferior quality power transformers causes fluctuating power supply which is harmful to all sorts of electric equipments in the offices and the households.
