India, Himachal Pradesh: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has inaugurated a new $35 million power substation at Lahal in Chamba district.
The new 33/220/400 kV substation with power transformers and associated electrical equipment will facilitate transmission of power for the upcoming hydroelectric projects in the Ravi basin, reports The Hindu Business Line.
This would add 630 MVA in capacity to the existing system.
The completion of the project is scheduled for June 2018.
