In September 2013,  the construction of a new substation in Vladimir was completed. Two 40 MVA power transformers were installed in the 110 kV Semyazino substation – one of the most important for the city. The upgrade significantly improved the reliability of electricity supply to western and south-western districts of the regional centre.

In October, another substation was built in the Vladimir region – the 110/6 kV Lizunovo, located in the southern part of the Alexander District, bordering with the Moscow Region. Power transformers with total capacity of 20 MVA were installed at the substation.

The upgrade of VL- 110 kV PS Pokrov-PS Petushki (tyag.) and VL-110 kV PS Boldino-PS Petushki (tyag.) was also completed as part of the investment.

Amongst other upgrade works which were part of the investment project, were reconstruction of relay protection and automation, overhead transmission line (VL) 110 kV Stantsionnaya-1 and a new combined cycle gas turbine for Vladimir HPP-2.

Vladimirenergo also reconstructed 189.48 km of 0.4-10 kV line to improve reliability and security of power supply.

The implementation of all planned activities will enable the investment of JSC Vladimirenergo branch, IDGC Tsentra i Privolzh’ya to provide reliable and quality power supply to their consumers.
