Autotransformer installed in La Arenosa electrical substation
Venezuela, La Arenosa: Corpoelec (the National Electricity Corporation) installed the 400/230 kV, 450 MVA transformer in the electrical substation La Arenosa, writes SDPnoticias. This will allow the transmission of power to Carabobo and Cojedes states.

Venezuela, La Arenosa: Corpoelec (the National Electricity Corporation) installed the 400/230 kV, 450 MVA transformer in the electrical substation La Arenosa, writes SDPnoticias. This will allow the transmission of power to Carabobo and Cojedes states.
The Commissioner of the installation, Rafael Castillo said, “This work was developed with the aim of restoring the installed capacity of the substation, which will come up on the 28th January. Supply, transportation, assembly and commissioning of the 450 MVA autotransformer started in October 2013 and culminated in January 2014”.
This autotransformer was purchased for 2 million bolivars (approx. $ 317,500) under the agreement signed between Venezuela and Portugal.
