United Kingdom: Babcock International has been awarded a contract to build two offshore transformer modules for SSE’s Beatrice windfarm off the Scottish coast.
United Kingdom: Babcock International has been awarded a contract to build two offshore transformer modules for SSE’s Beatrice windfarm off the Scottish coast.
The transformers, which will be delivered during the first half of 2018, will each be capable of handling 300 MW of capacity, reports Energy Voice.
The contract was awarded by Siemens.
Beatrice windfarm is scheduled to start operating in 2019.
