Spain, Huesca: Endesa has recently completed the expansion of the Armentera transformer substation located in the Monzon industrial area in province of Huesca, according to 20minutos. The work, which has made a significant structural improvement of medium voltage power grid, will help to strengthen the quality of service for more than 6,000 residential and industrial customers.
The investment, which exceeded € 90,000, was allocated to the commissioning of a new 14 MVA, 25/10 kV transformer and other equipment. The substation is equipped with an integrated control and protection system for quick and easy maneuverability and allows greater control and faster response time in the event of a supply disruption, as reported by the company in the press release.
The plant and dependent grids expansion serve to ensure that energy demand and the quality of service for the customers is met. The upgrade of Armentera substation is part of Endesa’s endeavours to meet the growing power demand and strengthen the quality of service.
