Turkmen capital boosts power infrastructure with 196 new substations

Turkmenistan, Ashgabat: A major energy project is being implemented in the Turkmen capital Ashgabat in order to improve the reliability of power supply in the capital city.

 


Turkmenistan, Ashgabat: A major energy project is being implemented in the Turkmen capital Ashgabat in order to improve the reliability of power supply in the capital city.

Within the project, dozens of modern transformer substations have been built, including five 220 kV substations, 22 substations with the voltage of 110 kV and 29 substations with the voltage of 35 kV, reports Trend.

In addition, the project has thus far seen the erection of 140 transformer and distribution substations with the voltage of 10 kV.

Overhead and cable transmission lines have been laid to connect the new infrastructure facilities to the existing power system of Ashgabat.
