One of the largest manufacturers of power transformers in China – the company Tebian Electric Apparatus Stock Co. Ltd. (TBEA) – launched a major power construction project in Angola with negotiated investment of approximately $ 1.18 billion.

Largest oil producer in Africa, Angola is struggling despite being a leader because of poorly developed  electric power infrastructure, which seriously hinders social and economic progress of the country.

According to the project, four local electrical networks in the north, south, east and centre of Angola will be connected, after the upgrade of the power transformers and other equipment, and the excess of the electricity will be transmitted to those areas of the country where there is a shortage of power supply.

In recent years, TBEA, based in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Northwest China,  even helped Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in the construction of their public electrical networks.
