German wind park operators building their own transformer station
Germany, Lower Saxony: The operators of the wind park Etzen and Ehlbeck, UW Rehrhof GmbH & Co KG, are investing $2.2 million in the transformer station which will feed their self-produced electricity into the grid.

A 63 MVA transformer has been delivered to the substation under construction, which will be connected to the 110 kV overhead line once completed, reports Landeszeitung.
A total of eleven 200 m high wind turbines are to be connected to the new transformer station, with a total output of 31.25 MW.
The substation should be completed in February 2017.
