Alstom appoints Jochen Schwarz to the board of Alstom Deutschland AG

Germany, Mannheim: Alstom has appointed Jochen Schwarz to the board of Alstom Deutschland AG with responsibility for the nation’s grid sector.

Germany, Mannheim: Alstom has appointed Jochen Schwarz to the board of Alstom Deutschland AG with responsibility for the nation’s grid sector.

He takes over from Wolfgang Voss and will “pursue the potentials…arising in the field of electrical power transmission“, the  company said.

Schwarz holds a doctorate in electrical engineering and has been responsible for Alstom’s grid operations in Mönchengladbach since 1996. He took over the management of the site, which produces power transformers and shunt reactors in 2003. Alstom stated that he will continue to exercise this role in parallel to his new function in the board in the future.

His long-standing experience in the field of electrical power transmission will support us to continuously increase our market share,” said Alf Henryk Wulf, chairman of the management board of Alstom Deutschland AG
