OTPL to expand transformer manufacturing unit
India, Mancheswar: Odisha Transformers Pvt Ltd (OTPL) is adding capacity to its plant at Manscheswar with the investment of Rs 4 to 5 crore (approx. between $ 600,000 and $ 800,000), according to sources in the company.

India, Mancheswar: Odisha Transformers Pvt Ltd (OTPL) is adding capacity to its plant at Manscheswar with the investment of Rs 4 to 5 crore (approx. between $ 600,000 and $ 800,000), according to sources in the company.
OTPL manufactures high voltage power transformers in the state.
“By investing this amount, the company will be able to cement its base in the manufacturing of 33/11 KV power transformers.” said Managing Director Jeevan Kumar Badu at the OTPL silver-jubilee celebration.
“At present, the company has a capacity to build at least a hundred 100 kV transformers per month and so far it has produced 1400 transformers at the initial phase of the Government’s CAPEX plan.” Shri Badu said. “The CAPEX programme of up to Rs 5 crore ($ 800,000) will be funded by SBI.” he added.
In addition, a mobile testing laboratory has been puto into operation for repairs and maintenance of the transformers at various sites.
