EPEC to update Morteros transformer station

Argentina, Morteros: EPEC and the Provincial Government of Córdoba confirmed upgrade of the Morteros transformer station.
Ricardo Venturin, an engineer from Technical Cooperative of Utilities Morteros said that the decision has been made to replace the power transformers with the ones of higher capacity. Venturin said that EPEC workers will conduct a detailed assessment in the coming days in order to plan the announced works, writes La Radio 102.9.
Technical Manager said: “Today we have two 10 MVA transformers and we must consider that the peak consumption this year has been 18.5 MVA so far, which requires us to provide the service almost without reservation, and urban and industrial growth estimates that next year, peak consumption could exceed 21 MVA. This exceeds the current capacity of the EPEC station and at the moment, there is no other possibility than to replace at least one of the transformers.”
