Russia, Vsevolozhsk: Modernisation of the substation will create foundations for the development of 10 kV distribution network in the area and allow new consumers to connect, writes Energy Land.

Lenenergo experts installed new power transformers, increasing power of the substation from 80 to 126 MVA. They also built a control building, where they installed 6 and 10 kV switchgear, remote control system devices, and protection and automation relay. At the final stage of reconstruction, the experts assembled current and voltage transformers.

Koltushi substation was built in 1979. Before being modernised, it was structurally obsolete  and new consumers could not connect because of the power deficit. Installation of modern equipment will significantly increase reliability of the electricity supply and create conditions for the development of 10 kV distribution network.
