India, Peshawar: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) Chief Executive, Tariq Sadozai, stated that the company will install power transformers in different substations to deal with power outages and low voltages which occur every summer.

Sadozai informed the board at a meeting of the Pesco Board of Directors on Wednesday that the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is financing the installation of 20 and 26 MVA, and 40 MVA power transformers in various stations of the province.

As power outages occur frequently during the summer, Pesco intends to curtail the breakdowns by replacing and fixing components of the outdated power supply system, according to The Express Tribune.

The Chief Executive informed the board that Pesco is making every effort to minimise the power outages and reduce line losses.
