Eskom Board rotates Group Chief Executive role

South Africa: The Eskom Board has decided to rotate current executives in the role of Interim Group Chief Executive to ensure exposure, and announced the appointment of Sean Maritz, Eskom’s CIO and group executive for information technology, as the Interim Group Chief Executive with immediate effect.

 


South Africa: The Eskom Board has decided to rotate current executives in the role of Interim Group Chief Executive to ensure exposure, and announced the appointment of Sean Maritz, Eskom’s CIO and group executive for information technology, as the Interim Group Chief Executive with immediate effect.

Mr. Maritz will replace Johnny Dladla, who occupied the role of interim group chief executive since June 2017, the company stated in a press release.

Dladla will be resuming his role as the chief executive officer of Eskom Rotek Industries (ERI).

According to Eskom’s press statement, it is imperative that the role of Eskom’s group chief executive be permanently filled in order to embed organisational stability, and the company will start the recruitment process in due course.
