Russia, Volgograd: Yesterday a power transformer station burnt down on Lenin Avenue in Krasny Oktyabr area.
According to V1 press service in the Volgograd region, the fire occurred at 11:35 a.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene as well as two ambulances. The fire was extinguished at noon.
Short circuit has been estimated as the likely cause of the incident. As a result, the surrounding offices on Lenin Avenue lost electricity supply. “I’m afraid if you’re not located near a substation, your offices and homes will remain without electricity supply for several months.” said one of the employees of Omega company.
