MOESK to upgrade Krylatskaya substation

Russia, Moscow: MOESK (Moscow United Electric Grid) plans to completely reconstruct the Krylatskaya substation  by 2016.

The upgrade will include modern equipment that will secure reliable power supply for the consumers in the area. The company will install new current transformers, voltage transformers, circuit breakers and surge arresters. Preparation for the installation of new 110 kV indoor switchgear is almost complete, reports Energy Land.

The company intends to invest RUB 40 million ($ 11 million) in the modernisation of the facility. “The main purpose of the reconstruction is to increase the reliability and quality of electricity supply to consumers. MOESK has always paid great attention to the timely modernisation of supply centres.” said Vsevolod Ivanov,  the company director.
