Argentina, Buenos Aires: Transener will expand the Ezeiza power transformer station with an investment of ARS 210 million ($ 26.6 million) from the Federal Government.
The transformer station will be expanded by having a 800 MVA transformer bank incorporated to its existing equipment, reports Infobae. The aim of the expansion is to cope with the increasing growth of electricity demand in the metropolitan area.
“The total investment for the acquisition of the transformer bank and the necessary equipment for the installation and operation has been provided by the President’s Office and the Ministry of Planning.” the company said.
Transener added that the commissioning of the new transformer is scheduled for the first half of 2015.
