CFE to replace power transformers in Conzumel

Mexico, Conzumel: In 2014 the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) has invested a total of MXN 20 million ($ 1.5 million) in Cozumel, 33 % more than last year.

The information has been provided by the superintendent of the Distribution Area Riviera Maya CFE, Capi Madera Gil. Among the projects presented for the year is the replacement of power transformers.

CFE personnel conducted the replacement of the power transformer located on Rafael E. Melgar street which has corrosion caused by salt due to its proximity to the coast, reports Sipse.

Two other transformers are scheduled for replacement at cost of MXN 300,000 each and MXN 10 million will be invested in procurement of the transformers.
