Luppolovo substation opens after reconstruction

Russia, Vsevolozhsk : After extensive renovation, Lenenergo (Rosseti Group) opened Luppolovo substation in the Leningrad Oblast (Region). The substation is crucial for the newly constructed housing estates and residential complexes.

Russia, Vsevolozhsk: After extensive renovation, Lenenergo (Rosseti Group) opened Luppolovo substation in the Leningrad Oblast (Region). The substation is crucial for the newly constructed housing estates and residential complexes.

Luppolovo has new modern power transformers, relay and automation system, and outdoor and indoor switchgear. Transformer capacity increased from 20 to 80 MVA, reports Energo-News.

“Reconstruction of the Luppolovo substation laid foundations for the development of the distribution network in the Leningrad Region, which will encourage economic development of the area  and have a positive impact on the investment potential of the region.”  said General Director of JSC Lenenergo, Andrey Sorochinskiy.

Lenenergo invested RUB 450 million ($ 12.7 million) in the upgrade of the Luppolovo substation, which was built in 1982 and it provides electricity to towns and socially significant buildings in the Leningrad Oblast, including the city of Sertolovo.
