Old transformer station in Heusenstamm replaced by new, compact ‘container’

Germany, Heusenstamm: Compact transformer station called the ‘container’ by Die Energieversorgung Offenbach (EVO) will soon supply energy to Ernst-Leitz-Strasse.
Yesterday, EVO installed the ‘container’ and replaced the old transformer. The ‘container’ could gradually replace the old transformer housing, reports OP-online.
The Offenbach electricity supplier invested approximately € 30,000 ($ 41 500) in this renewal. “The transformer house was wearing out over the years so it was replaced by the new, state-of-the-art compact station.” explained EVO spokesman Harald Hofmann.
Until all the cables are connected to the new transformer, the consumers are supplied by other stations.
