$260 M transmission line completed in Canada
Canada: A $260 M, 200 km transmission line project from Pasqua to Swift Current is now complete.
Canada: A $260 M, 200 km transmission line project from Pasqua to Swift Current is now complete.
There was a need for a higher capacity line to get power from the new Chinook Power Station which will be coming online later this year. This power will be available to customers in the province, especially in the Regina area.
This is a 230 kV line where as the line that was being replaced was a 138 kV line. The added capacity means the power from the combined cycle natural gas plant Chinook at Swift Current can easily reach the customers.
The project was kicked off back in June 2018.
