Russia, Makhachkala: Dagenergoset has started reconstruction of the GPP substation, which supplies electricity to the suburban areas of Makhachkala.
The company is replacing a worn out 31.5 MVA power transformer with a more powerful 40 MVA one. Other electrical equipment will also be replaced.
Dagenergoset invested RUB 78 million ($ 2.2 million) in the reconstruction project which is scheduled for completion at the end of May. It decided to reconstruct the substation as the cold winter caused increased level of energy consumption, which increased the load on the power transformer.
