US: Indiana Michigan Power announced plans for a $20 M upgrade to its electric transmission network in northeastern Indiana’s Grant County.

The Western Marion Area Improvements Project investment is meant to improve reliability for the area and bolster the electric grid for economic growth. 34.5 kV power lines will be increased to 69 kV standards, and some sections of the line will be rebuilt. Other sections may be re-routed and be given new easements.

The project is expected to conclude by summer 2022.
