JCP&L to upgrade Manalapan substation

USA, New Jersey: Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy, is setting up a new power transformer and circuit breaker at its Manalapan substation as part of a $ 1.2 million upgrade project.
The project is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer service reliability. The project will help the reliability of power supply, limit the duration of power outages and meet the increased power demand in the Monmouth county area.
The circuit work includes adding new transformers on existing poles apart from other upgrades. This project is part of JCP&L’s previously announced $ 251 million infrastructure investment in 2014.
