EDF gets planning permission for transformer storage building at Sizewell B NPP

United Kingdom, Suffolk: EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Ltd (EDF Energy) has been granted planning permission for offsite storage building for power transformers at Sizewell B Nuclear Power Plant.
The transformers are to be used during Sizewell B’s outage. The storage of three power transformers is allowed according to the planning permission, reports Mondaq.
The permission authorises ground works associated with laying concrete plinths and the sitting of a security cabin as well as erection of a security fence along the perimeter of the site.
