USA, California: Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) is renovating its Alto Substation at the moment, which plays a large role in the company’s electricity distribution system serving nearly 23,000 customers.

The substation is located near Hauke Park in Mill Valley’s Enchanted Knolls neighborhood. The renovation will run through February 2015 and by then, PG&E will replace two power transformers with the newer ones in order to cope with greater power demand, reports Marinscope.

As part of the renovation, the company will also remove a tree from within the substation property in order to prevent animals coming into contact with the power equipment and causing outages. A locked swing gate has also been installed halfway down the driveway.
