ECG to invest in power supply upgrades in Ashanti Region

Ghana: The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) announced it will invest about GHS 100 million ($ 33.2 million) in power supply improvement in the Ashanti Region.
The investment will cover substation upgrades, installation of transformers and construction of additional bulk power supply points and district offices to ensure efficient service delivery.
The news was announced by Mr William Hutton-Mensah, Managing Director, at a news briefing in Kumasi, reports Ghana Web. He said that despite the current energy generation challenges affecting the operations, the company is working hard to make things better.
