Power Machines-Toshiba to manufacture power transformers for Dalnyaya substation

Russia, St. Petersburg: Power Machines – Toshiba High Voltage Transformers will upgrade the 220 kV transformer substation Dalnyaya, supplying electricity between the Moscow and Vladimir Oblast.
The general contractor of the substation upgrade is Elektrotsentromontazh, the Russian company for installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and automation of power stations and substations, reports Energo-News.
The project will involve a shutdown and dismantling of two power transformers, 40 MVA each, which were installed at the substation 50 years ago and are now reached the end of their service life. In their place similar power transformers produced by Power Machines – Toshiba High Voltage Transformers will be installed.
The new reconstructed substation will start operation in October 2015.
